There are many, many ways to help Agape fulfill its mission to save lives and souls for Christ. We need prayer; we need man/woman power; and we need financial support. Look over the following list of suggestions, some of which require absolutely no time or effort commitment!
Prayer
We covet your prayers for:
- All the pro-life organizations worldwide and Agape in particular
- The women and their babies who visit (or are considering a visit to) Agape
- Our volunteers and their families
- Our supporters that they may grow in number and generosity so that we can add more centers across our City of San Antonio,
- Our staff who could be making more money working almost anywhere else and
- Our Board who have committed their time and resources to advance the pro-life message in our community.

Volunteer Counselor
The heart of Agape is the women who counsel our clients. A 4-hour/week commitment is all that is required of you. A day-and-a-half training program is offered to all prospective counselors. Banquet Table Host
Agape has an annual fundraising banquet each May. We ask about 30-45 individuals/couples to host a table of 10. Their responsibility is to invite friends, neighbors and/or associates who might be sympathetic to Agape's pro-life ministry to fill their table. There is no charge to the host(s) or the guests they invite, although everyone should know that it is a fundraiser. Table hosts are a critical component of Agape's success because they bring in new potential supporters who may not have heard of us. Church Liaison for the Walk For Life
Agape's only other formal fundraiser is its Walk For Life, held in October. This one is organized around San Antonio's churches. We identify someone within a church to promote the Walk. This involves soliciting the pastor's support in some fashion, so that (s)he will allow its promotion within the church body. Then it is simply a matter of recruiting as many sponsored walkers within the church as possible. These walkers are given a sponsor pledge sheet on which they obtain pledges from their friends, family, neighbors, etc. New church liaisons are essential to the Walk's financial growth. Financial Support
Although Agape is a financially very lean operation, it takes about $140,000 annually to pay for the two Centers' rents, salaries, utilities and supplies. We are pleased to detail how our revenue is spent to anyone who is interested. If you are drawn to make a financial contribution to our ministry, you may make a one-time or monthly credit card donation using our secure Online Donation Form. Non-Counselor Volunteer
Each member of our Board of Directors chairs a committee that oversees a particular facet of the ministry's activities and, in turn, these members take advantage of the knowledge and experience of Agape's volunteers to see that the work is done. Our six standing committees are: prayer, training, fundraising, property development and maintenance, volunteer development, and human resources. Board Membership
We are always interested in bringing in new board members; they invariably add enthusiasm and fresh ideas to the ministry. A typical term is three years, although we will consider candidates who have at least one year to offer. Board meetings fall on the first Monday of each month.
